The HVR10’s patented hybrid technology combines a mechanical contact system with a semiconductor bypass. The result: Switching without arcing, even with voltages up to 1000 V and currents up to 2000 A. This technology protects the contacts against erosion, maintains the low contact resistance and ensures a consistently high current-carrying capacity over the entire service life of 150,000 cycles (de-energised) or 50,000 cycles under load, for example in a real cycle such as switching on at 300 A / 50 V and switching off at 50 A / 900 V.
The HVR10 proves its strength where maintenance is difficult or dangerous, for example in underground mining vehicles, where explosive atmospheres and inaccessible technology can quickly become life-threatening. The HVR10 demonstrates its specific advantages in test benches and test applications where loads are regularly switched under load or where HV loads do not have to be de-energised for switching, for example for voltage balancing between several battery packs. It prevents regular failures or complex and expensive redesigns. This saves valuable time, money and human resources.
