The ESS30 reliably protects sensitive switch mode power supplies against overload and prevents dangerous voltage dips in the event of a fault by actively limiting the current. In the event of a short circuit or overload, the load circuit is disconnected first electronically and then physically isolated from the electric circuit. This eliminates feedback at the control voltage level and reliably disconnects the load circuits, increasing both operational reliability and system availability.

The ESS30 plugs into the 18plus module, which offers a high degree of flexibility with up to 30 connection points. The system consists of a power supply module, connection modules mountable side by side and a signal module for group signalling of all channels. With a maximum current of up to 80 A, the system fulfils all requirements specified for the necessary power distribution. In addition, circuit protectors can be replaced without tools during operation without affecting the rest of the system.

The load outputs are directly located below each circuit protector, which facilitates assignment, simplifies wiring and reduces errors. Thanks to its compact design, the system is ideal for space-saving installation in decentralised control cabinets.
