Easy access, maximum convenience

The new High Power-D-Box enables complete front connection technology for ETSI-compliant 19" racks. The power supply, load and control connections are accessible from the front - ideal for installations against the wall. Easy to maintain, powerful and future-proof.

The new front-side solution for ETSI control cabinets from E-T-A

ETSI-compliant 19" control cabinets are used in many European telecommunications systems and are often positioned directly against a wall, which means that there is no access from the back. To make installation and maintenance simple and safe, all connections must be fully accessible from the front. The operating area for necessary tools must also be considered.

The solution: The new High Power-D-Box with full front connection technology from E-T-A. The well-proven High-Power-D-Box portfolio has expanded and now also offers a fully front-side supply, in addition to the existing front-side load connections. This eliminates the need to feed cables from the back, which offers a clear advantage for service and operation.

Technical characteristic overview

  • DC voltage range: -48 V to -60 V - ideal for telecommunications applications
  • Supply terminals at the front: Screw terminals with up to 232 A current carrying capacity per supply (depending on the configuration)
  • Load terminals at the front: Up to 60 A via screw terminals (plug-in systems optionally available)
  • Signal and control terminals at the front: Available upon request
  • Hot-swap fuses: Integrated with E-T-A’s 8345 remote signalling circuit-breaker - hydraulic-magnetic, temperature-independent, with status indication and rated current labelling directly visible on the front

Mechanics & Thermics

  • ETSI-compliant design: 600 mm depth, 300 mm width
  • Optimised for restricted air circulation
  • Continuous operation up to +55 °C ambient temperature without power loss (no derating)

Your benefits

With this new variant, E-T-A offers a powerful, maintenance-friendly, and future-proof power distribution system developed specifically to meet modern telecommunications infrastructure requirements.
