Dirt-free transport

The Japanese company Daifuku is a market world leader in the field of automated conveying, storage, sorting and order picking systems. Daifuku uses E-T-A's ESX10-T electronic circuit protectors and 1180 thermal circuit breakers in ceiling lift transport systems for clean rooms.

Futuristic transport systems from E-T-A

Daifuku Co., Ltd. was founded in Osaka in 1937 manufacturingforge rolling machinery for ironworks. Today - about 90 years later - the company employs 11,000 people and is one of the world's leading providers of logistics systems and material handling equipment.

They specialise in cleanroom AMHSs (Automated Material Handling Systems), which are mainly used in semiconductor and flat screen production. These "overhead" transport systems produce minimal amounts of dirt and thus ensure an ultra-clean environment, while keeping vibration levels low. This helps produce the highest quality semiconductors and flat screens.

Daifuku selected E-T-A's ESX10-T electronic circuit protectors and 1180 thermal circuit breakers overcurrent protection solutions to fulfil the high reliability and safety requirements of the systems. The ESX10-T devices take on a very special task: They are installed directly in the rail-bound elevated railway vehicles and protect the current-carrying lift belts against burn-off in the event of an overcurrent.
