Early fault detection and reliable signalling thanks to the RSI10
E-T-A’s ControlPlex® Rack is designed for the requirements of the communication power engineering industry. It combines modern power distribution and reliable overcurrent protection with intelligent control and monitoring technology - all in a compact 19" system. This ensures increased system availability while reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
The heart of the system is the ESX300-S electronic circuit protector, which offers effective overcurrent protection thanks to electronic current limiting and precise load disconnection. This reliably protects sensitive electronic components and cables from damage. Thanks to the selective disconnection of affected loads, the voltage in the system remains stable and fault-free devices can operate without interruption.
The RSI10 Remote Signalling Interface communicates with all circuit protectors installed in the rack via an internal bus. If a load is disconnected, for example due to overcurrent, the RSI10 reports the status directly to a centralised monitoring system via potential-free group signalling. This provides early and transparent fault detection and direct integration into the centralised monitoring system.
Also, the modules can be replaced during operation via plug & play and under voltage - a clear advantage for maximising uptime and efficiency.
